Hair Colors

Winter is still here... and if you're from Canada, winter is here for a while. When people think of winter, they usually think of dark colours. I myself am still contemplating whether I should go for a balayage blonde look or a wine red hair colour for this remaining season. Which do you girls think? I always get emails asking me what colour to dye your hair to make it look more winter-y~ I love a good challenge so I put together a few pictures of many different hair colours! Maybe this can help you if you want to change up your look!
This is perfect for brunettes or dark haired girls who don't want that much change to their hair. It has the perfect amount of highlights and lowlights running down the hair. Notice how the strands framing her face are lighter than the rest of her hair, then it gradually goes down to an auburn red. This colour has many dimensions which gives it a beautiful look.

Dark brown hair with red highlights is a good way to go if you don't want to dye your whole head. The dark colour also goes well with her eyes. I never knew how good red highlights can look! This will look amazing whether you have short or long hair. Just make sure that they are highlights and not chunky foils.
I just love everything about this hair colour. This is how I want to colour my hair. It's not platinum blonde and has some warm tones through out it. If you notice at the roots it's more brown but it fades to a blonde. It's not an ombre because you can see the dimension in the strands. Everything about this hair is breathtaking.
This is probably my favourite reverse ombre. This is only possible if you have blonde or light brown hair to start with. Unless you want to bleach your hair and dye the tips. The platinum blonde and the dark hair at the bottom really contrast with each other!
Don't mind the facial expression, just focus on that lovely shade of red. It looks like a magenta~ This compliments medium to dark skin tones a lot! A magenta hair color is a trend that I have been seeing a lot lately on celebs and everyday people. This is also a good start if you don't want to have bright red hair. Trust me, this will look amazing!
Such a lovely shade of orange going on here! It seems to have a slight balayage to it also~ This colour looks so classy and well put together! To pull of this colour you would definitely need a professional. If you're born with orange her then you are one blessed girl~
CAN I JUST SAY HOW MUCH I LOVE PURPLE HAIR?! I've always wanted purple hair man. I was thinking of a lilac color but now I know that if I ever dye my hair purple it's going to be this shade. I think I need to do a purple hair appreciation post. I need purple hair in my life *sigh* maybe next time.
Another reverse ombre look! This time it goes from a blonde to a red colour! I feel that traditional ombres should be left for summer and reverse ombres for winter~ Just look at how blended it looks you guys. This is something you should try if you want a new change this winter!
