Hello lovelies! If you are new to foundation or makeup overall, then this is the place for you!

First off all, what is foundation? Foundation is a makeup product that evens out the skin tone and gives your face a flawless finish. It gives your makeup a surface to work on, sort of like how a artist preps his canvas before painting.

Now that we know that let's get into the forms that foundation comes in.

Liquid Foundation

This is the most common used form because it is easy to apply and gives it a sort of dewy finish. You should use a foundation brush or even your clean hands to apply.

How to apply:

Pour a tiny amount onto the back of your hand and dip your brush into the product. You then brush it evenly on your face and also your neck. There is also a cool tool called a beauty blender; it is a soft sponge that really blends the foundation into your skin.

Powder Foundation

This kind of foundation is in powder form. In my opinion this is a good foundation for people who have oily skin because it gives a matte finish.

How to apply:

You would apply this with a brush and onto your face. Beware of putting too much on because it can come it out looking cakey.

There is also something called airbrush foundation which is mostly used on models and professionals it isn't really the go-to product, but if you want me to do a separate post on it then let me know below.
