Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation - $42

This has got to be my all time favourite foundation. It is full coverage af and the variet of shades makes it great for people of all skin tones. The formula is quite creamy and applies really smoothly. I've heard such positive reviews about this all over Youtube but never caved in to buy it until I saw someone wearing it. I saw this foundation on one of my friends and I was in complete awe. Never have I seen skin so smooth and airbrushed. Right when she told me it was the Kat Von D foundation, I ran straight to Sephora and picked one up.

This highley talked about product is a 24 hour lasting foundation that looks fresh through heat and humidity. I find it to be a natural looking foundation and can be built to a full coverage application. I have combination to oily skin and my skin tends to look like a hot mess after just a few hours. I find that with this foundation, my skin looks mattefied and does not move around. This foundation has no flashback and has not broken me out.



I've actually never tried a powder foundation before this one, mainly because I thought it would look patchy on my skin, but I'm in love with this. This foundation has 24 hour wear and leaves you with a matte face. The powder itself feels very velvety and applies on the skin very smoothly. I use this powder on days where I am in a rush or if I don't want to wear a lot of foundation. I love how this powder foundation makes my skin look so airbrushed.




If you are looking for a foundation that will last you all night, then this is the foundation for you. It is full coverage with a matte finish that will leave your skin looking perfect and oily free. This was the first time I tried out an Urban Decay foundation and I actually really like it. It is a nice creamy formula that applies very smoothly onto the skin. I like to pair this with my Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray.

October is one of my favourite months of the year. The fall spirit is very active this month and I just enjoy all the spooky-related Halloween things that appear at this time of the year. I've rounded up a ton of my favourite items that I've tried, tested and loved! Even though it is now November, I still feel the fall vibe really strong. Below are my cult favourites, but I would like to know your monthly favourites down in the comment section!


This month I've decided to cave in and purchase the Champagne Pop Highlighter by BECCA Cosmetics. This best selling highlighter was created by Jaclyn Hill. Becca makes amazing highlighters that aren't too glittery but very pigmented. I have trouble finding a highlighter because my skin is medium-tan and I felt that this highlighter was going to look odd on me. I previously used to use the Global Glow highlighter by MAC and I found it to be too gold for my liking. I was start struck when I swatched this highlighter on at Sephora. It's one of those products that you should buy in person rather than online. I love using this highlighter on the daily and I receive many compliments on it. This highlighter would look amazing on every skin tone. The formula is quite creamy and a little goes a long way. I personally find that using my fingers gives me the best application. This is going to be a staple in my makeup regimen for a long time!

I just recently got the Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar palette and I can't stop gushing over it! I've been wanting a neutral palette that I could wear on an everyday basis and I felt like this was the perfect one. This is palette is the second of the Chocolate Bar series from Too Faced. The reason that I was drawn to this palette instead of the original one is because of the Blueberry Swirl shade. It's the perfect blue and surprisingly fits right into the colour scheme of the palette. I like to wear a matte orange-brown shadow on the eye and then a pop of this blue on the waterline makes it look more edgy and dramatic. You can create many makeup looks with this palette. You could  wear work and school appropriate looks with the earthy tones. You could also use the dark brown or black to create a smokey eye look. The pigmentation is great and the formula is creamy which makes the shadow easy to blend. The only thing I don't like about the palette is the shade "Pink Sugar". The colour looks amazing in the palette but when you apply it, it comes of as a sheer layer of pink glitter. The glitter is not pigmented enough which makes it hard to apply. The rest of the colours however are very pigmented and easy to work with. The final thing I want to say about this product is that it smells AMAZING! The palette is formulated with cocoa powder which makes it smell like chocolate~ mhmmmm delicious. It doesn't have an artificial chocolate smell but rather a rich and potent chocolate smell. I can go on and on about this palette but I believe I've covered everything I wanted to say. Overall, I would like to say that I am very happy with the outcome of this palette and I'm definitely going to have to get my hands on the original Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette! 

                               

The first thing I bought was this Jasmine and Henna Fluff Eaze. It is a hair treatment that claims to improve the strength of your hair while also conditioning it. This hair treatment is filled with lustrous oils such as Jojoba, almond, Brazilian nut and extra virgin olive oil. With all of those oils, of course it will hydrate your hair! It is a pre-shampoo treatment that you leave on for a half hour. I choose to keep the hair mask on for 4-5 hours because I feel that it has more time to work. It has a sexy Jasmine scent to it that will linger for a few days! I received a ton of compliments on the appearance of my curly hair and how soft and bouncy it looked. Ever since bleaching my hair over 2 years ago, I felt like this was the only product that healed the damage from that. I am very happy with the overall health of my hair! There are two downsides with this product. It is overpriced in my opinion because you pay $24 (Canadian Dollars) for a product that you can only use two or three times. I mean you are paying for good quality but it is still a little much. The other problem I have with this is that the product is very runny. This product would be best in a squeeze out bottle. I advise doing this over the sink or tub because application is pretty messy. I would also recommend wearing a shower cap when you apply it because it will prevent leaking and the heat will help the product better penetrate your scalp! Overall I love this product and would recommend it to anyone who needs a hail Mary hair product! 

Hello love bugs! Acne is something that a lot of us suffer from and it can be very frustrating to get rid of it. Imagine the agony you feel when you have a date tomorrow night but to your surprise, a giant, red creature decided to embed itself onto your face. I'm still convinced that acne is the devil's work. You may have heard of many products that can remove your acne, but these products can be quite costly. I have personally found that I get more acne when I eat oily foods. I have a ton of natural remedies that work well!

The most important thing to do is to prevent acne before it appears. A ton of us eat oily foods on the daily and that is a main source of acne. Try eating a healthier diet that gives you all your essential vitamins and proteins. Green tea is great at cleansing your body and giving your skin a deep and thorough cleanse. It is loaded with tons of antioxidants, enzymes, amino acids, phytochemicals and polyphenols. You don't have to drink green tea to get all of its benefits, but you can also use it in a face mask. Green tea improves your skin complexion and flushes out toxins from the skin. On top of that, it aids in rejuvenating the skin! Here is a yummy recipe that you can follow to get clear and supple skin! 
                 
Green Tea Mask

Step 1: Boil two tea bags of green tea and remove its content into a bowl
Step 2. Add 2 teaspoons of honey (honey also has antibacterial components that improve the condition of your skin)
Step 3. Apply it on your face and allow it to sit for 15 minutes.
Step 4. Rinse it off with water and pat your skin dry
