How to survive your first day of school ♡
9/03/2013
1. Wake up on time
Usually on my first days I would wake up at 6:30. This is good because I have to time shower, organize my bag, eat breakfast, put on makeup and all that good stuff. You want to make a good first impression, so pick out a nice outfit and style your hair a different way than usual. Try to get a good nights rest so that you look fresh and awake in the morning. If you're the kind of person who likes to sleep at sunrise, then all you need is a good concealer to fool them! Just apply a tiny amount under your eyes to fake that you got 9 hours of sleep.
2. Try not to get lost
There's nothing worse than getting lost on your first day. Or when you walk into the wrong classroom. Trust me, I've experienced both >___< If you can, try to get your hands on a school map. A school map is really good because you will know exactly where to go without asking someone for help every minute. If your school doesn't provide maps then it's perfectly fine to ask a few students where your classes are. You could also look for signs. My school used to have signs that lead you to each classroom, this would be really helpful.
3. Lockers
Since its your first day you'll probably have loads of things to put in your locker. Prepare your self with a lock if your school doesn't provide any. You also don't want anyone getting access to your locker so keep the combination a secret. You will probably want to decorate your locker, so bring things like: a magnetic mirror, a poster, some cute magnets, and anything else you want to put in there!
4. Lunch
I'm being completely honest when I say that lunch was my favourite part of going to school. That being said, you'll need to prepare a good lunch. A tuna sandwich, pasta, pizza are all good things to pack for lunch. If you like to purchase lunch, then make sure you double check if you have your lunch money. Its uncountable how much times I've forgotten my money, and sadly my stomach had to suffer.
5. Meeting new people
This is probably the hardest part for me. I am a very shy and timid person, so meeting new people is a struggle for me. But of course on your first day you want to make some friends. I remember how I met one of my good friends Cherish. It was the first day and I was super nervous to talk to her. She did sit next to me so I would have to start the conversation somewhere. We both found that we had the same interest in music. Ever since then we were really close with each other and best friends! So moral of the story is, no matter how scared you are to talk to new people, it won't be so bad after.
