Favorite Hair Products
4/02/2014We all have that one favourite hair product that transforms our lions mane into a silky galore! I'm the type of person who experiments with multiple brands before settling with one. I like to compare products and see which one works best for my hair. I have honey brown hair which is mid-back length. It's curly when wet but dries straight. On days where I'd like to be a curly sherly, I would use a mousse or curl defining smoothie. On occasions where I'd like to have pin straight hair, I would use an oil and a silk serum. These are a few holy grail products which help me achieve the hair that I want!
Okay, so if you know me then you know that anything pink attracts me! This is the first organix product that I've tried and love it! It's a conditioner that I use weekly and this has done plenty for my hair~ It has cherry blossom extracts (sounds really beautiful) and Asian ginseng root which helps rejuvenate the scalp and hair follicles. I was sceptical to use this because it claims to add volume to your hair, which I hate in particular. I already have a lot of thick hair on my head and didn't want this to emphasize it more. But oddly enough, this tamed my thick hair and gave it a bit of volume that was softer and shinier! Whether you have thin or thick hair, this conditioner does the job!
L'Oreal has an amazing line of beauty and skin care products but they definitely know what they're doing in the hair business! This shampoo is sulfate-free which makes it safe for your hair~ It hydrates your hair and nourishes it beyond words. This shampoo is also really inexpensive and gets the job done. I do find that it lathers up a lot, but I don't really mind because I love bubbles~ I used this shampoo before dyeing my hair because I didn't want the colour to fade! Although I've heard that this preserves colour well, I'm not taking any chances.
I currently use this shampoo and I love it! It preserves my hair colour and gets rid of the brassiness. It's also quite affordable, I believe I bought it for $7, which is a good price for this product. I personally prefer the shampoo over the conditioner for some reason. I lather this up in hair and leave it in for 7 minutes. I would definitely recommend this if you have blonde-light blonde hair~ I have a honey brown colour and I'm currently going blonder so this is a must for me.
My favourite curling mousse~ This completely takes away my frizz and conditions my hair a lot! I use this when my hair is damp and apply a dime sized amount and scrunch my hair. I then let it air-dry or you can use a blow dryer. It gives me spiral curls which I love! Definitely an item I will never stop using~
If you are ever in need of a hair repair, than this one by 'Macadamia' is the best! This was quite hefty but I decided to splurge on it and I am glad I did~ This hair repair masque makes my hair feel softer and silkier almost instantly. I use this bi-weekly and leave it on for an hour. I always go longer than the recommended time because I'm usually lounging around the house and don't mind having a mask in my hair. If you're in a rush then using this for 15 minutes will give great results also!
Another Organix product! This is a silk serum which I use before using any heat on my hair. It honestly smells like vanilla which means my hair smells AMAZING. I don't think this is the product for girls with finer hair because the serum is sort of heavy. This works great for girls with thick hair~ This makes my hair silky smooth and bouncy!
