Tools needed:
- A flat iron
- A heat protectant
Get this super easy 'mermaid hair'! Divide your hair into 8 sections. You can divide it into greater or less sections depending on how loose you want the curl to be. The more sections the tighter the curls will be. Spray a heat protectant on each section. Start doing a three strand braid on each section. When finished, grab the flat iron. Run the flat iron over the braids (one at a time) as if you're straightening your hair. When finished, leave it in its braid and move on to the next section. When complete, unravel your beautiful waves~ You might want to separate some of the curls to get more volume and so it looks curlier!
Tools needed:
- A pencil or kohl eye liner
- A lighter
This is a simple diy that takes seconds to complete. All you need is a pencil eye liner of your choice and make sure its sharpened. Then grab your lighter and hold it under the pencil (hold the pencil straight up and only point on the end where you would normally draw with. Don't turn the pencil sideways.) Hold it under the flame for 2 seconds and let it cool before using it. There you have it, a gel liner created from a pencil eye liner! Just a reminder that this is temporary so the gel formula goes back to it's original state after a few hours~
Tools needed:
- A lipstick of your choice
- A translucent powder
- A makeup brush
- A tissue
This trick comes in really handy when you want your lipstick to have a longer life. Normally lipsticks fade within 5-6 hours of applying but this will 'set' the lipstick to make it last longer. All you need is a kabuki or blush brush and some translucent powder. Take a tissue and put it on top of your lips (when the lipstick is dry) and brush the powder onto the tissue. This will set the lips without having powdery lips!
Tools needed:
- A hair brush
- 1/2 cup of Vinegar (for medium length hair)
To get silky hair all you need is vinegar! Yes, the vinegar that you use to cook with. Vinegar has many natural essential oils which benefit your hair. All you need is a half cup of vinegar, or more if you have longer hair, and a hair brush. You need to brush your hair and make sure that your hair is tangle-free. You should do this vinegar rinse after shampooing. Apply it and massage it into your scalp, and pay attention to the ends too. You want to let this sit for at least 5 minutes (the longer you wait the more it conditions). You have too options here: wash it out or don't. If you wash it out, make sure you do so with cold water. You can also leave it in your hair to further moisturise it. When your hair is wet, you will smell the vinegar but as it dries the smell goes away. I would recommend leaving it in because it has a lot of benefits~
