My Favorite Beauty Products of the Month
3/08/2015
The month of February has been a great month for me! I tried and tested a bunch of new beauty products which have become staple items in my beauty regimen. These are products that I have been using throughout the month of February and have been loving! All prices are in Canadian dollars!
The Lorac Unzipped palette has been a definite favourite of mine. I was a little skeptical to purchase this because I feared that it would be similar to the Naked 3 Palette but I was wrong! The colours are more everyday wearable. This palette has more brown tones than the Naked 3. I ordered this online because Sephora does not sell Lorac products which confuses me a ton, but you can purchase it at Ulta!
Lorac Unzipped Palette - $42
This product has been a life saver to me last month and even now. This is the Anastasia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade. I have seen so much makeup artists rave about this and decided to buy it on a whim. This is a cream eyebrow product. A little goes a long way and should be used with an angled eyeliner or brow brush. I am currently growing my brows thicker so I don't use too much. I use a bit and fill in the sparse areas. If you have thinner brows, this is really good to get thicker brows! I use the 'Dark Brown' shade.
ABH Dipbrow Pomade - $23
I got this LUSH cleanser as a sample, and the first day I used it I knew I had to purchase it! 'Angels on Bare Skin' is exactly what your face will feel like afterwards. I have been using this for a couple of weeks and this is the only thing which has combated my oily skin. My skin tone looked so even and well balanced just after a week of using it. The best thing about LUSH products is that they are 100% vegetarian, handmade, fights animal testing and has some vegan products also!
LUSH Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser - $13.95- $33.95 (price depends on size you purchase)
Essie is probably the crème de la crème of nail polishes. February is the month of pink and I was rocking this polish on a day to day basis. Paint, chip, repeat. This polish is in the shade Van D'Go. It is a peach pink polish that is a great transition into spring.
MAC is probably every girls favourite makeup store. I personally don't like MAC foundations, but everything else is good! Especially the lip products! MAC 'Jest for Fun' will have to be an all time fave of mine. It is such a pretty pink shade that looks good alone or over top a lipstick. The formula is good and lasts a few hours, which is expected from a lip gloss. But reapplying won't be a problem when you see how amazing this gloss looks! I don't know whether or not this is a limited edition product because I couldn't find it in store. I purchased it from Amazon for about $20. A great dupe for this is Milani lipgloss in 'Shimmering Glow'.
Whether you have curly or straight hair, thin or thick, this product will be your holy grail hair product! This argan oil promotes stronger, shinier, healthier hair. It is also lightweight and doesn't have a greasy feel to it. It also smells amazing! I use this on my curly hair and it reduces frizz and makes it look silky soft. This has added moisture to the end of my locks and I honestly can't stop running my fingers through it! This is a small bottle and contains 50 ml of product, but it lasts a while. You only need 1-3 drops and that's it! I will definitely be repurchase this. I purchased this from Shoppers (a Canadian drugstore) but it can be purchased every where!
